Carlette Carty Formally educated in Nottingham, England. I bring many years of experience to the field of early childhood education. 23 of those years were compounded here with the Gilliard Group. What drives me every day is the profound opportunity to be a part of a child’s development journey. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing their journey unfold from the earliest beginnings to the incredible milestone they make. I am truly fortunate to have this opportunity to foster an environment where helping children to cultivate that strong foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth while discovering their own unique potential is an everyday experience. I believe a strong partnership between families and community bring ultimate success to our children.

I serve as the Family Worker at First Infant Care, where I am dedicated to supporting families, fostering strong relationships, and creating a welcoming environment for children and parents. As a bilingual professional in English and Spanish, I am proud to bridge communication and provide meaningful support to families. My passion for helping others continues to inspire my work each day.

Hi, my name is Ms. Rachel, and I am thrilled to take on this new role of Family Worker at First Infant Care. With a growing passion in fostering an inclusive community, I am dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of all children and families. I look forward to creating a welcoming environment for everyone and nurturing positive relationships to better support you and your little ones this year. I look forward to working together and making a meaningful impact in our community!

•  Infant Care

  • At Babyworld infant program, we prioritize building a secure foundation of trust and connection.
  • Our caregivers create a responsive, nurturing environment where infants can learn through sensory exploration and gentle interaction, laying the groundwork for all future development.

•  Toddler Care

  • We encourage a toddler’s natural curiosity by giving them the freedom to explore.
  • Our HighScope approach helps toddlers make choices and develop problem-solving skills in a predictable, engaging environment where learning and play are one and the same.

•  Preschool

  • Our preschool program empowers children to become active participants in their own learning.
  • Through the HighScope "plan-do-review" process, students learn to take ownership of their education, building the critical thinking and independence needed for a lifetime of success.

• Extended Programs:

•  Before and After-School Care

  • Before and After-School Care: This program provides a seamless transition from the school day to a safe and enriching environment. Our HighScope framework extends learning beyond the classroom, offering a mix of activities, supervised free play, and opportunities for homework help to support academic and social growth.

•  Summer Camp

  • Summer Camp: Our summer camp is a fun-filled adventure. Each week is a new journey of discovery, with engaging activities and group projects designed to build social skills, encourage creativity, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

Payment & Fee Policies

REGISTRATION FEE: $100.00 (applies to all new applicants)

Payment Methods Accepted:
Cash, Card Payments, Money Order Payments
Personal Checks are not accepted

Childcare vouchers include (CCVC, CCAP, NJCK, WFNJ, TANF, and KINSHIP).

Corporate Sponsor Vouchers are accepted.

If using Urban League or a CCR&R voucher:

Parents may be required to pay a co-payment.
Co-payment amounts vary by household size and income.
Parents are responsible for paying the difference between our childcare rate and the total voucher coverage.

Fee Policy

Fees are not prorated for holidays, vacations, sick days, or absences.
Tuition is a flat weekly rate regardless of whether your child attends all five days or fewer.

Payment Schedule

Subsidy Contracts: Co-payments are due by the 5th of each month.
Private Pay Families: Weekly tuition is due every Monday prior to the start of service.

Late Payments

A 10% late fee will be applied to overdue payments.
Failure to make timely tuition payments may result in loss of childcare services.
