Late Morning Arrivals & Absences

Helps families plan daily arrival and communicate absences.

Absences

  1. If your child will be absent, please notify the school in advance.
  2. If your child is absent for three (3) consecutive days, a doctor’s note is required upon return, even if the absence was not due to illness.
  3. If a child is absent for ten (10) consecutive days, he or she will be withdrawn from the program.

Late Morning Arrivals

  1. Students will not be admitted after 9:00 A.M. unless prior arrangements have been made with the Director or Family Service Worker.
  2. If arrangements are made for a late arrival (e.g., doctor’s appointment, WIC), the latest entry time is 11:00 A.M..
  3. No exceptions after 11:00 A.M..

  1. Preschool dismissal window: 2:30–2:55 PM.
  2. After 3:01 PM, a $30 late fee applies.
  3. The fee doubles every 15 minutes the child remains.

Dress Code & Uniform

Dress Code & Uniform

To keep our children safe, comfortable, and ready for play and learning, we ask families to follow these dress guidelines. Please ensure all items are labeled with your child’s name.

  • Infants & Toddlers: Comfortable, well-fitting clothing for easy movement and safe play.
  • Preschoolers: Uniform required—yellow shirt with navy blue bottoms.
  • Extra Clothing: Keep two extra labeled sets at the center for accidents or spills.
  • Footwear: Closed-toe shoes required. No flip-flops, sandals, or unsafe footwear.
  • Seasonal Clothing: Provide coats, hats, gloves, and other weather-appropriate outerwear.

Birthday Celebration Policy

Parents are welcome to celebrate their child’s birthday with classmates, but must follow these guidelines to ensure a smooth and safe celebration:

  • Teacher and office must be notified in advance.
  • Parents provide all party supplies (plates, napkins, cups, spoons, etc.).
  • Suggested treats: store-bought cupcakes, cake, juice, or ice cream.
  • School-provided snacks must also be served.
  • No party bags, candy, or balloons permitted.
  • A family member must attend to assist with setup and cleanup.
  • No characters, vendors, or outside entertainment allowed.

Illness Policy

Illness Policy

If your child shows signs of illness during the day, you will be contacted by phone or via Brightwheel to pick them up. Children must remain at home depending on symptoms and possible diagnosis.
