Dress Code & Uniform Policy

General Dress Code

Maintain a professional appearance consistent with our standards below.

  • Male staff: Dress pants, shirt, and tie.
  • Female staff: Business casual attire.

Not Permitted

  • Denim jeans, sweat suits, ripped pants, leggings, yoga pants, shorts
  • Short skirts or skirts with high slits; low-rise pants
  • Form-fitting dresses; tank tops; spaghetti straps; tube/halter/crop shirts
  • Sunglasses, flip-flops, slippers, Crocs
  • Head wraps, doobie pins, headscarves (unless for religious purposes)

Tattoos & Piercings

  • Visible body piercings, other than ear lobes and discreet nose studs, are not appropriate.
  • Visible tattoos are not permitted.
Non-Compliance: Employees failing to adhere to these standards may face disciplinary action, up to and including termination.

Uniform Policy (Infant & Toddler Classrooms)

Uniforms are mandatory for staff working with our youngest children to ensure the most sanitary care.

Preferred Uniform

  • Scrubs or any nursing uniform.
  • Any color is acceptable (blue, green, yellow, white, or multicolor).

Footwear

  • White nursing shoes or sneakers are mandatory.
  • Footwear should be worn inside the classroom only. Change shoes before going outside.

Uniform Care

  • Wear your uniform fresh and ironed daily.
  • Maintain an ample supply; do not wear the same uniform every day.
  • In an emergency, you may wash the uniform on-site.
Non-Compliance: If you arrive not wearing the required uniform after receiving a memo, you will be asked to leave and will not be compensated for the day.

Calling Out Procedures

If you will be absent from work due to sickness or any other reason, you must follow these procedures:

  • Call your center director or supervisor at least 1.5 hours before your scheduled arrival time.
  • If you cannot reach them, you must call the Executive Director.
  • Failure to make contact will result in you not being paid for the day.
  • Upon your return, fill out a time-off request form. It is your responsibility to obtain, complete, and submit this form.
  • Attach required documentation (doctor’s note, jury duty form, or other appointment paperwork).
  • Failure to submit the form will result in you not being paid.
